Why did you become a Physical Therapist?

I sustained a knee injury when playing basketball in high school requiring surgery and physical therapy. While going through physical therapy, I realized what a great profession it would be to help people restore function and get back to activities they love to do. After gaining experience in the PT world, I have realized this profession is so much more than I thought it would be. I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to build relationships with patients and guide them into a more active and healthy way of living!

What are you involved with in your community?

I’m involved in a local group called Toastmasters with other professionals in the Peoria region and enjoy participating in fun runs in the Peoria area, such as the Blarney Blitz.
