Sarah Schoon grew up Goose Lake, Iowa and currently resides in Muscatine, Iowa. Sarah received her Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Iowa. Outside of work Sarah enjoys visiting family and friends, playing soccer, and spending time outdoors canoeing and fishing.
Why did you become an Athletic Trainer?
In high school, I knew I wanted to remain around sports and I enjoy helping people. As I started to explore career options, I was lucky to shadow some great Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists. I loved that athletic trainers could be part of the whole recovery process and were with the athletes from when the initial injury occurred all the way through to their first game back doing what they love.
