Catherine Powell is from Peoria, IL and currently resides in West Des Moines, IA. Catherine Powell received their undergraduate degree from St. Ambrose in Exercise Science and received their Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from St. Ambrose. Outside of work she enjoys reading, working out, spending time with family and friends, being involved in my local church, and trying new restaurant.
Why did you become a Therapist?
I became a PT because I was my grandma’s main caretaker as she aged with Parkinson’s disease. I wanted to be able to help people with Parkinson’s find fulfillment and optimize their function. I especially enjoy working with the geriatric populations and look forward to receiving a certification in LSVT Big and Loud.
What are you involved in in your community?:
I was involved in volunteering for a local clothing center and youth center in Davenport before my long term clinicals. I look forward to establishing myself and volunteering in the local community when I move to West Des Moines.
