Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
I became interested in Physical Therapy through a high school class that focused on Health Occupations and I knew I wanted to be involved in the health care field in some way. I was debating becoming a pediatrician, a physician assistant or a physical therapist. In college, I was able to observe and do a student internship with a local physical therapist that sold me on the profession. Later, during my collegiate softball career, I required 2 years of physical therapy to continue playing softball and from that time on, I became passionate about helping others get back to the activities they love.

What are you involved with in your community?
I enjoy volunteering at my former high school Career Fair every year at North Scott as well as being a parishioner at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf. I also frequently help with child care for my friends in the community after work and on the weekends.
