Madison Davenport is from Des Moines, Iowa and currently resides in Decorah, Iowa. Madison received their undergraduate degree from Luther College in Exercise Science and received their doctorate degree from Arcadia University. Outside of work she enjoys tending to her plants, cooking and baking, playing soccer, and watching all kinds of sports and movies with her husband.
Why did you become a Therapist?
I always wanted to do something in the medical field. When I found out how long doctors had to be in school I decided that I needed to change paths. When my grandmother had to get her shoulder and knee replaced and started attending physical therapy, she had such a great experience that she invited me to one of her sessions. I thought it was inspiring that someone could get better and back to what they love through movement. That is when I started to look more into physical therapy and decided that this was the path for me.
What are you involved in in your community?
I have recently moved back to Decorah after attending for undergrad. I am excited to find my place there as a young adult. I look forward to finding a church community as well as other young adults to socialize with. One thing I am also very excited about is Decorah’s farmer’s market. It had been my dream for the past few years to participate in a farmer’s market.
