Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
I had a wonderful high school biology teacher that sparked my interest in science, the body and its function. I decided to major in biology in college. During my high school and college years, I also swam competitively. As a high school and college athlete I ended up with a few sports injuries and was introduced to the field of physical therapy. As a patient, I wanted to learn and do all I could to return to my sport and reach my goals. During these experiences I realized I wanted to use my education in biology to pursue a career in physical therapy so I could help others reach their goals and return to the activities they love.
What are you involved with in your community?
